I bought the Stampers Anonymous Perspective stamp set from Paper Pastimes this week & I knew immediately that it would perfect for the April Tag challenge from Tim Holtz.
This tag was fun to make...I love how the background turned out.
I chose Abandoned Coral, Cracked Pistachio & Mustard Seed for my butterfly color palette. The distress markers are so nice to work with on watercolor paper.
I love this quote from the Perspective stamp set. I used Frayed Burlap to stamp it on the tag.
Of course I had to use my fave color at the moment for the crinkle ribbon and spritzed it with a little bit of Frayed Burlap for a little more depth.
This was my first ever Tim Tag and it certainly won't be my last! Thanks for looking!
Hi! I just had to come in for a closer look, because I am using this set on my tag this month, too, if I can ever get it posted! Love this butterfly, and you have done a FANTASTIC job on your first tag! I feel a win coming on for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely take on the April tag - love the "handwritten" die-cut you chose and the butterfly looks fab.

You're a pro already! Love that butterfly and the colours are perfect! Great first tag and I know you'll play more. Especially when we push each other to create them!
ReplyDeleteI love your tag! I have a question on how you place your label (for want of a better word) on your photos. I am new to entering my crafts to sights.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn! Thanks so much for your comment! I used Picmonkey to design my watermark and use it to place it on the photo as an 'overlay'. Picmonkey is awesome! I highly recommended it for photo editing. :)
