My One True Love......Wanderlust Week 6

Hello to all my crafty friends!
It has been a busy time in Paradise. My husband & I are in the process of moving back to
Calgary. There has been lots of packing and driving which has left little time for crafting & creating.

I did manage to find a little this weekend to get caught up on my Wanderlust adventure and now have a 2 page art journal spread to share - just in time for Valentines Day.

The teacher for Week 6 was Amanda Grace. Her style is refreshing and very enlightening - I hope that one day I can use my art journaling to express my deepest thoughts and feelings in such a beautifully raw way as she does. This week was an exploration of textures and techniques while at the same time creating a love letter to my husband.

My page ended up being a bit messy but in the spirit of "embracing imperfection" I left it - blobs of ink, spelling mistakes and all.

submitted to the following challenges:

  1. Hi Julia... this is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing & celebrating love with me <3 Great name also.. paradise lost <3

  2. Huge hugs! I never saw you as a pink inspired gal before but you sure did it justice with this piece.

  3. Well done for finding time to create whilst packing and moving and for embracing imperfection, that is not always easy to do! Love your page. All the best with the move! Anne x

  4. Julia...good luck with the moving!! This is SUCH a job and I don't envy you the work involved! :) Your art journal pages are lovely. Love the pink; especially for this "love" theme. Love your writing in black as well. That really personalizes your pages. Beautifully done! Thanks for sharing with all of us at Creative Carte Blanche!

  5. I'm so glad that you found the time to crate this lovely journal spread even when you were moving! it really is lovely and a beautiful way to remember these special times! Thanks for sharing it with us at Creative Carte Blanche!
