Fresh Brewed Friday

Happy Friday everyone!
I hope you had a fantastic week and here's to a great weekend
of fabulous weather and maybe a bit of crafting!

I love coffee and when Tim Holtz started coming out with his
Fresh Brewed products I went a little crazy.....like full on large double double
with 3 shots of espresso crazy!

Here is a quick 4 card set I made this week -
It started with the Fresh Brewed stamp set & 4 Distress Ink Custom Blend Ink Pads
The back ground was made by using the same background technique used on Tim's June tag - check it out here.
I then stamped the image directly on the background and then stamped it a second time on cardstock.
I coloured the second image with Distress markers, fussy cut them out and layered them on the background with foam squares to add dimension.
The edges were finished off with some Ground Espresso (of course!) and a bit of twine.

Thank you for taking the time for visit my blog today!

a Venti Pike Place engagement.....

Engagements between two amazing people are always an exciting & wonderful time...and this one is very special because one half of this engaged couple is my little sister, Jessica.

Simon & Jess ~ Seattle June 2015

The other thing that made this engagement amazing is that Simon planned it as a surprise - everyone knew about it for a month before the actual event happened. I'm so very proud of myself for keeping my mouth shut even though I was absolutely bursting with excitement!

The happy couple met for the first time at a Starbucks in Calgary & the plan was to surprise her with a weekend getaway to Seattle & propose at the very first Starbucks at Pike Place Market. All though the actual "popping of the question" didn't happen there it was still very memorable and romantic.

I knew as soon as I heard the plan of the engagement from Simon that I had to make a Starbucks themed card for them.

I bought this cool Starbucks stamp at Viva Las VegaStamps
and knew that it would be perfect with the Fresh Brewed Die from Tim Holtz & Sizzix.

I little burlap & die cut words from the Friendship Script thinlits die set finished it off perfectly.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.

Coffee Frap....my go-to summer drink

I love coffee.....hot, iced or frapped...it just doesn't matter.
Tim Tag this month was made just for me, I know it!

I love the new Custom Blend Distress ink pads almost as much as I love coffee.
I decided to go with a more sunny, "summer"-y custom colour blend.
I think it looks like a beautiful summer sunset
Custom Blend - Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge & Fossilized Amber
Instead of the Stripes Layering Stencil I used the Burlap one instead. I love the look of the plaid that Tim has on his tag so I will definitely be adding the Stripes stencil to my very, long wish list.

Thanks for dropping by my blog today ~ I love to read your comments!
