Thank you card for Coffee Lover

I needed a small, masculine Thank You card & gift card holder & decided that I just had to use my

The Tim Horton's stamps pairs perfectly with the Fresh Brewed Die from Sizzix.
.I cut out my coffee cup in chipboard and sprayed it with Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain.

A layer of Fired Brick Distress Ink gave the cup extra depth.

The lid was sprayed with Ground Espresso Distress Spray Stain(of course) and inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I stamped the logo with Fired Brick Distress Ink.

Next step was to make my kraft paper envelope using the Envelope Die from Sizzix.
I used the Splatters Layering Stencil from Stampers Anonymous for the envelope.

I made a small card just small enough to fit into the envelope and stamped the front with a bunch of different 'thank you' stamps from my stash.

There you have it - a perfect Thank you card & gift card holder for a Tim Horton's coffee lover.

Friends - Tim Tag....September

It's time for more Technique Remix fun with Tim Holtz!

This month the challenge was to combine Paint Patina & Alcohol Ink Resist.

Check out Tim's tag inspiration & step by step instructions here.

Here is my finished tag -

As soon as I saw this months tag I knew I wanted to use this stamp from the Sideshow set from Stampers Anonymous and the Banksy Man on Bicycle from Viva Las VegaStamps.

I started by making a couple of backgrounds using the Paint Patina technique.

The next technique - alcohol ink resist on yupo - was intriguing and I finally got this result after about six attempts and several different combinations of alcohol ink colours.

I stamped my Banksy Man & "Friends" sentiment with Black Archival ink and my tag was done!

a Venti Pike Place engagement.....

Engagements between two amazing people are always an exciting & wonderful time...and this one is very special because one half of this engaged couple is my little sister, Jessica.

Simon & Jess ~ Seattle June 2015

The other thing that made this engagement amazing is that Simon planned it as a surprise - everyone knew about it for a month before the actual event happened. I'm so very proud of myself for keeping my mouth shut even though I was absolutely bursting with excitement!

The happy couple met for the first time at a Starbucks in Calgary & the plan was to surprise her with a weekend getaway to Seattle & propose at the very first Starbucks at Pike Place Market. All though the actual "popping of the question" didn't happen there it was still very memorable and romantic.

I knew as soon as I heard the plan of the engagement from Simon that I had to make a Starbucks themed card for them.

I bought this cool Starbucks stamp at Viva Las VegaStamps
and knew that it would be perfect with the Fresh Brewed Die from Tim Holtz & Sizzix.

I little burlap & die cut words from the Friendship Script thinlits die set finished it off perfectly.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.

I love reading your comments & checking out your blogs!

stay crafty
